Opomenuta není ani lodní hierarchie a prostor dostala také každodennost nevšedního života námořníků, například téma cestování, emigrace, pašování zboží či u této profese nesnadného skloubení pracovního a rodinného života. <p>V roce 2023 je tomu 1050 let, kdy bylo české území vyděleno z pravomoci biskupů v Řezně a bylo založeno pražské biskupství, povýšené na arcibiskupství v roce 1344 díky snahám Jana Lucemburského a jeho syna Karla IV. Nové biskupství sehrálo pak podstatnou roli v christianizaci české země a druhý pražský biskup – svatý Vojtěch se zasloužil o přijetí víry i v Polsku a v Uhrách. Mnozí z jeho nástupců na pražském biskupském a pak i arcibiskupském stolci zanechali za sebou významné stopy – zakládali nové kostely, města a městečka, vesnice, budovali hrady, iniciovali vznik klášterů a objednávali sochy, malby, nádherně zdobené rukopisy a díla uměleckých řemesel. Tím vším se významně vepsali do kulturního genomu naší země.</p>
