<p>Kniha je úvodem do tzv. systémů vnitřní rodiny (Internal Family Systems, IFS), který dnes patří mezi uznávané psychoterapeutické přístupy. IFS zpochybňuje představu jednotné identity a zdůrazňuje existenci různých části v jednom člověku (např. vnitřní dítě, vnitřní kritik, vnitřní sabotér). Mnoho z nich se vyvinulo v průběhu jedincova dětství na jeho obranu, a když je zbavíme jejich zátěže, mohou se opět stát tím, čím v zásadě jsou – našimi pomocníky. IFS je vhodným přístupem např. pro práci s traumaty, závislostmi, depresí či úzkostí. Kniha z pera samotného zakladatele tohoto směru uvádí základní postupy při práci s IFS, ukázky z terapeutických rozhovorů i řadu cvičení.</p>

<p>Feldenkraisova metoda představuje praktický program pro integraci tělesné a mentální stránky člověka. Je založena na zpětné vazbě, kterou nám dávají naše smyslové orgány a jež vede ke zlepšování žádoucího pohybu na základě vlastních měřítek účinného pohybu. Metodu využijí sportovci, umělci i lidé, kteří např. z důvodu zranění či bolesti chtějí zlepšit své pohybové návyky nebo navázat lepší kontakt s vlastním tělem. Cvičení jsou jednoduchá a vyžadují jen minimální množství energie. Lze je provádět individuálně nebo ve skupině. Voliči v českých zemích z nich v květnu 1946 učinili výrazně nejsilnější politickou sílu v Československu. KSČ tak získala ideální pozici k přípravám na úplné převzetí moci a destrukci limitované demokracie třetí republiky.</p>
